If you saw a zebra on the wall you need to know that this is Zuk Club. An art-group consisted of 11 street artists and their friends. Zuk Club’s history is one of those cases when being in love with your business and hard work pays off. During 10 years of its existence the group managed to participate in many exhibitions, to design clothes and to organize several street art activities and this is not a complete list. It is quite possible that none of this would not have been if not for the settled expression between guys “Zebra Flied Where” (Çåáðà Óëåòåëà Êóäà — first letters of Russian words make sound ZUK). Meaningless joke in an abbreviated form became a name for the graffiti team “ZUK” and zebra itself turned to be a good luck mascot. It usually appears in many works of the group in different shapes. At the beginning the name could hardly be connected to what guys were doing but after it became a major influence on their work. After some time a word Club was added. Quotation: “With the name extension the interests have expanded.” The team started practicing street art about 6 years ago and still keep following this way. Activity of the group flowed into street art sphere and graffiti-decor. The team make experiments on any accesible and hard accessible surfaces, their work is distinguished by the freedom of manners, ideas choice and extremely funny poetics of an alcohol-drug delirium. Today the art-group’s interests tend towards the monumental and contemporary art as evidenced by numerous photos with the participation in various expositions and festivals for the last year. Zuk Club is, so to speak, not even a team, Zuk Club is some kind of hoax representing mythical harmonious team, which for some inexplicable reasons, remains single-hearted, no matter what.
